Readycash is our basic bank account for customers aged 16 years and over and not eligible for one of our standard Current Accounts. It may also be available for customers whose personal circumstances make it difficult to manage their finances, or who are experiencing financial difficulties - if this is the case, please phone one of our advisors or visit your local branch. There are no fees or charges for everyday transactions.
Readycash lets you pay for goods and services at retailers with your debit card, and access your cash and account details through our vast network of ATM’s, at any Clydesdale Bank branch or at Post Office counters. You will also be able to manage your account easily with monthly statements, free text alerts and online and telephone banking.
Overdrafts are not permitted on this account and requests for unplanned borrowing will usually be declined. The account does not come with a cheque book, does not pay credit interest and the debit card is not contactless.
No account fee.
You can cancel your agreement with us within 14 days of opening your account by contacting us in branch, by phone or in writing. Please check terms and conditions for more information.
* 24 hour telephone, mobile and internet banking may be temporarily unavailable during periods of routine maintenance. For your security calls may be monitored or recorded.
Readycash accounts cannot be applied for directly. If you apply for one of our standard Current Accounts and you're not eligible, we'll let you know at the end of the application and offer you a Readycash account (if appropriate).
