Private customer - interest only mortgages

As a private banking customer we offer you exclusive access to the following interest only mortgage range, for mortgages against properties worth £400,000 or more. Your relationship manager will discuss your options and put you in touch with an expert adviser. The maximum Loan to Value (LTV) for interest only where the repayment strategies meet the Bank's criteria and can be evidenced is 75%.

Applicants must be aged 18 or over. All loans are subject to status. Security will be required.

Representative Example

A mortgage of £274,512 payable over 12 years, initially on a fixed rate of 1.89% for 2 years and then our Standard Variable Rate, currently 4.70%, for the remaining 10 years. This would require 26 monthly payments of £432.69 and then 119 monthly payments of £1,073.05 plus one final payment of £275,584.36.

The total amount payable would be £416,411.25 made up of the loan amount plus interest (£140,014.91), arrangement fee (£999), valuation fee (£650), CHAPS/telegraphic transfer fee (£40) and security release fee (£195).

The maximum Loan to Value for any Interest Only element of a mortgage is 75%. Any additional borrowing up to a maximum of 80% loan to value must be on a suitable Capital & Interest product.
