  Savings limits

  The total Stocks and Shares ISA allowance for this tax year is £11,280. If you save into a cash ISA, the maximum stocks and shares allowance is £11,280 less any cash ISA savings made in the same tax year.

  The Stocks & Shares ISA is provided by AXA Portfolio Services Limited.

  As it is linked to the stock market, the value of a stocks and shares ISA can fall as well as rise and is not guaranteed, meaning you could get back less than you invest. The value of any tax benefits depends on your individual circumstances. The Stocks and Shares ISA is intended to be a medium term (at least 5 years) to long term (over 10 years) investment. Charges will apply for fund management and administration.

Anyone aged 16 years or over is eligible to apply for a Cash ISA and for a Stocks and Shares ISA applicants must be 18 or over. You must be resident and ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom.

The value of any tax benefits to you depends on your individual circumstances, the Law and Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) practice which are subject to change. The proceeds of an ISA are currently free from Capital Gains Tax.
