Why has the website changed?
Feedback from customers was that the website was not customer friendly nor easy to use so we wanted to make the site easier to navigate and to reduce the amount of text and provide customer with clear benefits. You will see that we also have new engaging colours following customer feedback.
In addition a brand new section for Private Banking Members has been added and the business section is now split into 3 segments namely businesses with turnover under £1m, over £1m and agricultural businesses. This will help you find the information relevant to you quicker and easier.
Why are there 3 headings (Personal, Private and Business) on the homepage?
The website is split into three sections tailored to your specific needs depending on the type of customer you are. This should help you find the information you require.
There is a new facility called Online Tools. What can I do there?
This has been introduced to improve speed and efficiency for customers looking for certain information. There are 3 boxes and the purpose of each is as follows:-
Apply online for – this allows you to select a product from a drop down list which you can apply online for
Use our calculators and tools – you can click on the product of your choice and get a quote.
Learn more about – there is a selection of topics in the drop down box such as buying a house which you can download an information guide on
You will see that this section also provides a link to take you the to Contact Us section and Interest Rates and Fees section
I see there is a new section called ‘Important information’. What can I find there?
The section includes Terms and Conditions plus any other important information relevant to the product on the page your are viewing
What does the "All Products" section tell me?
This is a complete list of the products available. You can click on the name of the product and it will take you to the relevant page. There is also a contact number if you want to speak to an advisor about the product of your choice. This section also allows you to apply for products online.
Why is the Business Section split up into 3 sections?
The new business section is split into 3 segments namely businesses with turnover under £1m, over £1m and agricultural businesses. This makes it easier for you to find the information relevant to you.
What is ‘Ways of Banking’?
This section has been added to highlight the different ways in which you can do business with us such as through Internet Banking
Are there any changes to the websites that are linked to your site e.g. the personal loan application?
No, these applications remain unchanged
Security
The website is different, is this a fraudulent attempt to capture my customer details?
No, this is still the legitimate Clydesdale Bank website, we have only changed the look and feel to make it better for customers.
How can I check if the website is genuine?
Ensure that you have typed www.cbonline.co.uk into your browser and do not access the website from links in emails.
Where can I find information on security?
The security section is located within the Internet Banking section of the website, alternatively type in www.cbonline.co.uk/security into your browser.
I have saved www.cbonline.co.uk to my favourites; can I get to the new website using this?
Yes , however for any other pages within the website you can no longer use your existing bookmark for. Please type www.cbonline.co.uk into your browser and navigate to the page that you want. For security you should always type in the full URL of a website into your browser.
I have tried to go to the website using the link that I saved to my favourites but it says the link is not recognised, what do I need to do?
Because we have changed the URLs the link you have saved in your favourites will no longer work. To get to the website you will need to type www.cbonline.co.uk into your browser and navigate to the page that you want.
We would like to stress that we would NEVER ask send you an email requesting confidential information or security details to be recorded online. If you receive an email you think is fraudulent you can forward it to reportphishing-cb@cbonline.co.uk. Do not reply to emails of this nature and do not follow instructions, regardless of how genuine a website looks”
How do I find…
How do I find my nearest branch or ATM?
There is a box at the top of the page called ‘Find Us’. Simply click on this to find your nearest branch or ATM.
I am interested in applying for a Personal Loan but want to know how much my repayments would be. How would I find this out?
On the Online Tools section on the right hand side of the page click on ‘Personal loan’ from the drop down box in ‘Use our calculators and tools’ options and press ‘go’. You can then select ‘get a quote online’
How do I find details of interest rates?
On the Online Tools section on the right hand side of the page click on ‘check interest rates and fees.’ You can also find a link to ‘check interest rates and fees’ in any of the product pages within the websites. This is located on the left hand side of the product pages.
Before I apply for a product online how do I find out what information I will need?
Once you have clicked on ‘apply online’ a page will be displayed which will detail any conditions for example if there is a minimum age to apply and then the information you will need to have at hand.
How do I find out about a career with Clydesdale Bank?
Click on the ‘Careers’ link at the bottom of any page. When you have reached the careers page click on the link here which will take you to our recruitment website.
How do I find out more about Clydesdale Bank?
Click on the ‘About Clydesdale Bank’ link at the bottom of any page to take you to this section where you can find information about the Clydesdale Bank including our corporate profile and corporate social responsibility.
I am interested in becoming a Private Banking Member, how would I find my nearest Financial Solutions Centre?
Click on the ‘Private Banking’ tab on the homepage and then click on the box in the middle of the page titled ‘Find your nearest Financial Solutions Centre’ or by clicking on the link within ‘Get in Touch’ on the right hand side of the page
Can I increase the size of the font on the website?
Yes, click on the ‘Accessibility’ link at the bottom of any page to find out how to increase the text size for ease of accessibility or click on the text icons at the top right hand corner of the screen.
I am a Business Customer with a turnover greater than £1million and want to register for IB – what do I do?
Refer to your Relationship Manager who will be able to advise you.
I am a Business Customer and would like to know more information about products, what should I do?
Refer to your Relationship Manager who will be able to advise you.
How do I print off pages from your website?
Go to the file option in your menu bar and click print form the drop down menu.
Internet Banking
Has Internet Banking changed?
No, your Internet Banking account has not changed and will look the same.
How do I log in to Internet Banking?
At the top right hand side of the homepage you will see a box headed up Internet Banking. You hover over the login box and then click on the Internet Banking. A page will be displayed with security information and once you have read this then click on the ‘log-in’ link at the bottom of the page. The Internet Banking window will then open. Note that the look and feel of Internet Banking remains unchanged. We have sent out a secure message to all Internet Banking customers to advise them of these changes.
My Internet Banking is a different colour to the new website, is that correct?
Yes, we have not made any changes to Internet Banking.
Can I get to the Internet Banking log in page using my existing bookmark?
No, your existing bookmark will no longer work. Please type www.cbonline.co.uk into your browser and follow the log in instructions above.
I want to register for Internet Banking, where do I find the option?
At the top right hand side of the homepage you will see a box headed up Internet Banking. Hover over the register button and then click on the section which is appropriate to you.
I have received an email from the Clydesdale Bank asking me to re register for Internet Banking, is this valid?
No, the Clydesdale Bank would NEVER send you an email requesting confidential information or security details to be recorded online. If you receive an email you think is fraudulent you can forward it to reportphishing-cb@cbonline.co.uk. Do not reply to emails of this nature, do not follow instructions and NEVER click on any links contained in these emails regardless of how genuine a website looks.
