As a Clydesdale Bank customer you are able to receive and send Faster Payments into and from your account.  This allows much quicker telephone, internet and standing order payments between your account and other banks and building societies.

This service is particularly useful to both personal and business customers using internet and/or telephone banking since payments will get there much quicker, in fact the majority of payments will take a few hours to reach the beneficiary account. In addition to speed of payment, the service is also available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to make payments.

No action is required by you to enjoy the benefits that the Faster Payments Service brings. You will make your payment the same way as you usually do, and we will process it through the fastest option available.

The Faster Payments Service can only be used if both the Bank or Building Society sending and receiving the payment are taking part in the scheme. Each Bank or Building Society will have its own limits for Faster Payments which can vary from time to time. So if you need to guarantee same day payment, you should consider using CHAPS**(fee applicable).
