    Register your other cards

If you already have a Clydesdale Bank Visa credit card, you can register for Verified by Visa, an online protection scheme similar to Mastercard SecureCode.

  • Why should I register my card?

Everyone should be able to shop online with confidence. This free service provides the extra security you need to do just that.

Can I register a joint card holder?

Yes. A joint card holder can register for SecureCode using their own card.

Where can I shop once I’m registered?

Many online retailers now offer the added security of SecureCode. You can still use your card with non-participating retailers – but you won’t have this extra level of security.

What happens if I haven’t registered?

To make sure all online transactions are secure, you’ll be asked for your SecureCode when you use your Mastercard at a participating retailer. If you haven’t registered, you can still register at the retailer’s checkout. If you choose not to register, your transaction may be declined.

What are the system requirements for SecureCode?

Mastercard SecureCode works with most internet browsers, but software that prevents pop-up windows may interfere with your use of SecureCode.

What else do I need to know before I register?
