Leading Birmingham aluminium manufacturer rebrands with bank support

18th February 2015

A leading aluminium manufacturer is aiming to double its turnover in the next three years with a complete rebrand to target new markets, helped by more than £600,000 in ongoing funding support from Yorkshire Bank.

Birmingham Aluminium Ltd is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of aluminium components, offering a diverse range of services to a wide spectrum of industries including retail, electronics and leisure.

The rebrand will consist of a new logo and name, BAL GROUP: Global Aluminium Solutions. The new identity maintains the history and heritage of Birmingham Aluminium but reflects the international nature of the business today.

Birmingham Aluminium Ltd already sells its products to 29 different countries and Steve Kane, Managing Director, believes the rebrand will help the company reach its goal of doubling its revenue over the next three years, by exporting to a broader global market, which he hopes to include the automotive sector.  Steve believes achieving these targets will lead to further investment in recruitment.

Steve said: “We believe the rebrand will help us fulfil our international ambitions by appealing to markets further afield.  By globalising further we will be able to increase the number of recruits we hire and invest back into Birmingham.  The team at Yorkshire Bank are always happy to listen to our ideas and goals, and to help us reach them in whatever way they can.”

The deal was completed by Relationship Manager James Oliver.  Yorkshire Bank has supported the Birmingham Aluminium Ltd since 2006, providing full banking services since 2008.  Over this time, the business has been able to expand its premises, purchasing an additional two warehouse units to operate from and  hiring more staff to facilitate increased production.

Richard Wallace, Head of Yorkshire Bank’s Business and Private Banking Centre in Birmingham said: “Birmingham Aluminium Ltd has consistently shown that it is an ambitious business with the drive and commitment necessary to reach its growth aims.  We are pleased to support a local business with a strong vision for the future, which produces knock-on benefits for the community by creating job opportunities.”
