Chambers on the growth trail with new financial backing

One of the leading barristers sets in Yorkshire and the North East is embarking on an ambitious development strategy following the completion of a new financial support package.

New Park Court Chambers, which is based in Leeds and Newcastle, has chosen Yorkshire Bank to provide its full business banking services, enabling the set to deliver its major strategic transformation initiative.

Over the course of the next 12 months, the New Park Court Chambers management team will deliver a change programme based on six major pillars of; enhanced client value, enriched professional and practice development for Chambers members, improved organisational structure, advanced risk management, and state of the art core technology.

New Park Court Chambers is a large and well-established set of Chambers comprising of 75 barristers in Leeds and Newcastle, including 10 QCs. The set also employs 18 loyal and experienced clerks and support staff.

Its teams of barristers are divided into three areas of expertise covering criminal, civil and family law with specialist teams for areas such as regulatory and police law, mediation, employment, commercial / chancery and personal injury.

Barristers from the set have conducted a number of high profile and substantial criminal, regulatory, civil and family cases.

The new financial support was arranged by Pete Sumners, director in specialist and acquisition finance at Yorkshire Bank’s Business and Private Banking Centre in Leeds.
