Clydesdale Bank increases support for the Aberdeen business community

27th October 2014

Clydesdale Bank has strengthened its business and private banking team in Aberdeen with the appointment of a new business development manager.

Ian Donaldson brings more than 14 years’ experience in the banking industry to his new role. The majority of that experience has been in business banking and Ian has been based in Aberdeen for the last two years.

Ian moves to Clydesdale Bank from Royal Bank of Scotland.

Ian has developed a particular expertise in the healthcare sector but also has a strong history of supporting businesses in the oil and gas sector. Ian holds the Chartered Banking Certificate of Business Financial Management.

He said: “The economy in Aberdeen and the North East presents many opportunities for ambitious companies with growth aspirations. I look forward to using my knowledge and understanding of the region to support local businesses.”

Stephen Hepburn, head of Clydesdale Bank’s Business and Private Banking Centre in Aberdeen, said: “We are proud to have Ian joining our team and he is now part of a 30 plus strong operation supporting businesses in the city. His in-depth knowledge of Aberdeen’s business community and his awareness of the challenges and opportunities that exist locally will be a great asset.”
