Post Office Services Expand for Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks’ Customers

30th June 2014

From today (30th June 2014) Clydesdale Bank and Yorkshire Bank customers across the country will be able to use the Post Office for everyday transactions.

Customers of both brands can now conduct day-to-day banking transactions at 11,500 Post Office branches around the UK, which put everyday banking services within 3 miles of more than 99% of the country’s population.  The Post Office also provides a valuable service for business customers, being used by around a third of the nation’s SMEs every week.

The free services for customers include:

  • Cash withdrawals (to daily card limit: £350-£500)
  • Cash deposits using debit card (max. £20k per transaction)
  • Cash deposits with paying in slip (max. £20k per transaction)
  • Cheque deposit with Pay-in Slip and Cheque Deposit envelope (no limit)
  • Balance enquiry
  • Notes for Coin exchange for small business customers (by arrangement)

Steve Fletcher, Head of Network, at Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks, said: “This move recognises the important place that Post Offices have in local communities, and by sharing resources more customers will be able to access their accounts at more locations across the country.

“We are providing customers with a range of different banking channels to suit their individual needs.  Extending our relationship with the Post Office gives our customers far greater access to a traditional ‘counter’ service than they have ever had.“
