Bolton energy savings firm switched on for growth

22nd October 2012

A fast-growing energy price comparison business in Bolton is on a major recruitment drive after securing a six-figure finance package from Yorkshire Bank.

Love Energy Savings plans to more-than-double its current headcount of 120 employees in the next 12 months after a record year.

The majority of its business is comparing and switching gas and electricity suppliers for businesses, while also serving the general public.

The business posted a 25% increase in sales in 2011 and is on target to achieve similar levels of growth in 2012. The company has agreed a new lending facility with Yorkshire Bank’s Business Banking Centre in Bolton which will assist with cash flow as it embarks on its recruitment drive.

Phil Tarimo, Regional Director for Yorkshire Bank, said: “Love Energy Savings has experienced tremendous growth in the past few years and has an exciting future as businesses become much more proactive in searching for better energy deals. This is also great news for the local community, with more than 100 sales positions available, and a chance to join a business growing year-on-year.”

Love Energy Savings recently served its 15,000th customer and moved to a larger call centre on Summerfield Road in Bolton from its former premises in River Street.

Phil Foster, Managing Director of Love Energy Savings, said: “The success of the company has been down to serving the business community. Every business is looking to save money, now more than ever, and so getting the most cost effective energy tariff is vital.

“We are seeing growth all over the UK and that’s why we are expanding. We wanted to stay in Bolton and our new premises give us the space we need to create these new sales positions. The next 12 months will represent an important period in our growth and will provide the platform for further success.”

Love Energy Savings was founded in Bolton by Phil Foster in 2007. The business predicts it can save the average SME £1,050 per year by switching gas and electricity suppliers.
