Key appointment in Birmingham

Yorkshire Bank has announced a key appointment at its Birmingham Financial Solutions Centre (FSC).

Paul Reeves, who celebrated his 30th anniversary with Yorkshire Bank last July, has been announced as the new managing partner at its Financial Solutions Centre (FSC) in Temple Row.

He takes over from Stephen Cronin who is now managing partner at the bank’s FSC at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

Paul’s career with Yorkshire Bank started at the age of 16 as an office junior in Oldham and in 2006 he was named National Managing Partner of the Year by Yorkshire and Clydesdale Banks.

The 47-year-old was managing partner in Cheshire and Stafford between 2006 and 2010 and since then he had led the teams in Coventry and Northampton, along with Stafford, which Paul continues to be responsible for.

Paul said his goals were to continue to demonstrate to Birmingham’s business community that Yorkshire Bank is open for business and actively supporting companies and organisations across the region with their growth plans.

“Access to finance is key to breaking down any barriers for economic growth,” he said.

“We are still actively looking to support trading and forward-thinking businesses through our Investing for Growth initiative. Indeed our commitment is now stronger than ever as we continue to attract growing numbers of small and medium sized businesses.

“We delivered on our two-year promise to make £10 billion of gross new lending available to business and personal customers by October 2011, and I’m looking forward to working with the strong team here to help businesses across Birmingham with their growth plans.”

Paul lives in Stone in Staffordshire with his wife Elaine, and has three children who are all in their twenties.
