Clydesdale Bank is to launch a new family of banknotes this autumn. This new banknote family, our first in over 20 years, celebrates five famous Scots, while the reverse of each note portrays the five World Heritage Sites in Scotland.
As part of the launch activities, the Bank is hosting a Charity Auction at 6pm on 22 September at its Head Office, 30 St. Vincent Place, Glasgow. 216 lots will be auctioned, including the collectable serial numbers of the new banknote family, uncut sheets of the new ‘World Heritage’ family of notes, and a selection of rare and historic banknotes from the Bank’s archive. The proceeds will be distributed to over 50 different local charities.
People interested in attending the auction should e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
Full descriptions of all lots to be auctioned are detailed in the e-catalogue below, which has been produced in partnership with auctioneers, Spink.
