Clydesdale Aims To Build On Peterborough’s Community Spirit

24/6/09

The team at Clydesdale Bank’s Financial Solutions Centre in Peterborough is extending the hand of friendship to its neighbours on the Cygnet Business Park in Hampton by inviting them to a coffee morning with a difference.

Although coffee and biscuits will be on offer at the event on Friday (June 26) the main aim is to bring the business community closer together in the current testing times. Every business on Cygnet Park has been invited to the coffee morning, which will be hosted by Clydesdale’s local chairman Lord Brian Mawhinney.

Dylan Ashpole, managing partner at Clydesdale Bank’s Financial Solutions Centre in Peterborough, said: “We have been operating in Peterborough for almost four years now and felt that as a business community we could do more together to create a buzz and a feel good factor.

“Peterborough has a great community where everyone knows each other and we are looking to build on this strength still further on a practical level. Clydesdale is wedded to its communities and is always looking for new ways to connect people.”

Clydesdale member Masteroast Coffee Co Ltd will add to the unique flavour of the event by supplying a range of coffees with a wine tasting feel. Chairman Les Mills will also be on hand to share his coffee stories and talk about how a local company operate in a global industry.
