Retail, Direct Banking and Products and Marketing
We have over 300 retail branches in Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks. But that’s only part of the story.
In fact, if you add our telephone and internet banking teams, this part of the business employs over 3,000 people.
One of the main areas is our award-winning European Customer Contact Centre in Clydebank, near Glasgow. This is our customers’ first point of contact for telephone and internet banking.
Our Marketing team manages our brands – designing and implementing sales campaigns, as well as carrying out customer research to support product development.
Integrated Financial Solutions (iFS) and Wealth Management
This is our integrated business and private banking service – something that really helps our members make sense of their finances as a whole.
Why members instead of customers? Because they enjoy a truly complete service, with a relationship manager and support network to cater for their every banking need.
Then there’s our Wealth Management service. Here, we help customers protect themselves and their loved ones, invest for their future and plan for retirement.
Many teams work in our Shared Services area – each with a critical role in helping us achieve our goals.
Risk Management
In an increasingly regulated and complex industry, the Risk Management team makes sure we comply with the requirements of our regulator, the Financial Services Authority (FSA). The team also helps manage other business risks.
Finance
The UK finance team aims to provide world-class financial services to all our UK businesses. This ranges from regulatory reporting to supporting our product teams in pricing decisions.
Human Resources
The HR Team help deliver on our belief that great people, working together are the foundation of all our future successes. They provide support, guidance and development to all our employees.
Operations and IT
This team– builds and implementing systems which help all areas of our business meet their objectives.
In addition they use these systems to process customer transactions and paperwork – from opening an account to getting a mortgage, to making an international payment.
