Andrew Merrifield has over 20 years experience in Corporate Banking and Acquisition Finance across UK, European and US Banks. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland, an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and holds a MBA.

Andrew formed the team in the South in the summer of 2005. As the team have grown and evolved they have completed a wide variety of Acquisition Finance and Corporate transactions. 

The team comprises individuals from a variety of backgrounds including corporate finance advisors, chartered accountants and banking professionals. The team have successfully completed numerous transactions in the corporate and leveraged markets and in many instances Clydesdale Bank is principle banker, providing clearing and a full range of ancillary products and services.

Some recent and notable deals have included: the buy outs of the following companies: U-POL, a world leader in automotive refinish products and  XLN Telecom a leading UK provider of telecoms to small businesses.  In addition we have funded the following companies: KPMG LLP, Brightside Group PLC, an insurance broking and financial services business, Smiths News PLC, the UK’s leading newspaper and magazine wholesaler, QMH Group, a UK hotel portfolio and Semlogistics Milford Haven Ltd the UK's largest independent petroleum storage facility.
