Duo step up at Clydesdale

The London office of Clydesdale Bank has announced two promotions in its Corporate & Structured Finance (CSF) team.

Colin Weightman has been promoted to director, portfolio management while Mike Tarr becomes associate director, acquisition finance.

Colin, who joined Clydesdale two years ago is a chartered accountant and previously advised on due diligence and mergers & acquisitions. During his time at Clydesdale Bank Colin has played a leading role in a number of acquisition finance transactions together with ongoing management of the portfolio.

Mike, who joined from Royal Bank of Scotland two years ago, has played a key role in the execution of a wide range of acquisition finance deals.

Andrew Merrifield, regional director of Corporate & Structured Finance commented: "Colin has done an excellent job and will now take charge of the development of our portfolio management team, while Mike has been a particularly strong performer and his promotion reflects that he is an increasingly influential member of the team.
