Clydesdale appoints new director to boost corporate team
Clydesdale Bank in London has appointed Stuart Trussler as a director in its Corporate & Structured Finance team to support its increasing commitment to the corporate market.
Stuart joins from Barclays where he spent 27 years. He has 17 years’ experience in working with corporate clients and for the past five has focused on structuring finance packages to support mergers and acquisitions and to help corporates with their day to day needs.
During his career he has delivered finance packages with values ranging from £6m to over £1bn and has supported deals including the 2006 IPO of the UK’s largest pawnbroker H&T Group and the 2009 refinancing of supply chain business Wincanton plc and travel group Travelzest plc.

We are now also gaining a reputation for our role in supporting corporate deals. Stuart is one of a number of key appointments we will be making over the coming months to help consolidate this part of our business and raise our profile still further in the corporate arena.”
Recent deals completed by Clydesdale’s Corporate & Structured Finance team in the south include the £120m refinancing of healthcare IT business iSOFT Group, the £40m refinancing of Western Power Distribution (South West) plc and the refinancing of Lloyd’s broker, Windsor Ltd.
