Chance for the North East stars to shine on global stage

'Use OTC to your advantage because it will be a year before an opportunity on this scale comes along again'.  That was the advice of Scotland's best business bank yesterday.

For a third year, members of Clydesdale Bank's Financial Solutions Centre (FSC) in Aberdeen have attended OTC to support North-East companies, and demonstrate the Bank's capabilities in the oil and gas sector.

Jamie Ritchie, Director of Specialist & Acquisition Finance at the Aberdeen FSC commented:

"The North-East of Scotland has a mature oil and gas market that is respected worldwide for the breadth of knowledge and skill available - and is the oil and gas Capital of Europe.  But on a global scale, OTC is the place to be seen.

"The opportunities available here are vast - and companies should look at the conference as a springboard for them to take the plunge into the global marketplace.

"Scotland has products and services that can compete with the best in the world, and companies must view this as one of the best opportunities that they will get to showcase to - and network with - industry players who are harder to access back on their home turf.

"Last years' event was a great success for Scottish companies, and hopefully this years' exhibitors will emulate this and prove what a major role Scotland has to play in the oil and gas sector," he said.
