Oxfordshire based dairy farm, Haine Farmers of King Stone Farm, have received a six-figure finance package from Clydesdale Bank. The 300 acre farm has been passed down through the family for three generations. This family-owned business is now thriving more than ever before.
The farm has a robotically milked dairy herd of 130 cows which are mostly Brown Swiss crosses. Heifers are kept on a neighbouring farm for 18 months before returning to calve.
There is even a cheesemaker on site, who uses some of the farm’s milk to make Rollright Cheese – an award-winning, washed rind cheese based on Reblochon.
This funding will help the family to continue investment and will contribute towards the farm’s expansion, mainly through developing their cheese business.
David Haine, of Haine Farmers, commented: “We are very pleased to have the support of Clydesdale Bank and we look forward to working with them. We have already built a strong working relationship and look to continue this into the future and share our knowledge."
"Justin Hayward, Relationship Manager, Agribusiness, Clydesdale Bank said, “We are thrilled that Haine Farmers have chosen Clydesdale Bank to assist with their growth plans, and we look forward to working with them as the farm continues to develop in the coming years.”
